It’s a problem!

These and similar concerns are what keep top executives and their companies up at night. Of course if someone asked you you’d probably say that your biggest concerns were building or replacing leadership talent, or increasing employee retention, or building a strong ethical culture, or building a competitive edge through leadership talent. The oil that greases the wheels and sooths the waters is emotional intelligence, or EQ. People who have it are comfortable in their own skins and know how to relate to others. They can lead because people want to follow them. They can get people to do what needs to be done, even when it’s hard.
